Exhibition

Something very exciting is happening. I'm participating in an exhibition at the National Glass museum in Leerdam. I'm working on a hanging lamp. With 25 light bulbs and glass spheres. I'm very excited and I've come a long way already. This is what I've made so far.

This is my sketch.

This is the metal frame which I had made to support the weight.

This is the electric wiring I made for the lamp.

And finally an example of one glass sphere. This lamp will have 25 spheres with light bulbs. I can't wait to see what the final result will look like. The opening of the exhibition in the 14th of June and this exhibition is there the whole summer. Here you'll find photo's of the lamp when it is finished and hanging in the exhibition 'Home Made'. I'm very happy with the result.

after b'Lowlands 2012

It was fun, exciting and freakin hot! With temperatures over 33 degrees celcius standing in front of a glass furnace is really tiring. So I have lots of respect for the guys who where working so much all these days Marc Barreda, Emil Kováč, Marco Lopulalan, Marinke van Zandwijk, Kristin Larsson, Chris Maas and me. It was a great team of talented glass blowers and fun people it was great to be part of this experience! And of course my respect for De Kunst van Tegenwoordig die alles hebben geregeld achter deze hele operatie.

b'Lowlands 2012

Na het succes van vorig jaar op Lowlands zijn we ook dit jaar weer terug met b'Lowlands.
Ik heb er echt super veel zin in, dit jaar belooft nog spannender te worden.

Ik heb wat informatie van de website gehaald om je een beetje warm te krijgen voor het project. O ja we staan in het hoekje naast de Grolsch tent te blazen van 12 to 20 uur. Komt dat zien!
